Happy Mother's Day

In the early part of last week I suggested to Wesley that he bring Dayton and Trae over and let me take a picture of the three of them and they could give it to Brandi for Mother's Day. So Wesley told Brandi that I wanted to see Dayton before Walter and I went to Kentucky for the weekend. So we made a plan that he was to bring Dayton over and Walter and I were to go get Trae at his Mammaw's. We weren't sure if Trae would come with us by himself, but to our surprise he was excited to go with Mimi and Pop's. So we all met at my house to tackle our photo session.

I took a few pictures of Trae by himself before Wesley and Dayton got there. This was a real task because he is a typical active little 2 year old and by the time I could get my camera ready and flashed, he would be gone and on to something else, so I had to be quick.

After a while of taking several shots, I decided to take a break and as things go with me, I missed one of the cutest shots I could have gotten of him. I looked up and he had gone over to one of my artificial plants and was sniffing of the flowers to see how they smelt. By the time I could get my camera turned on and zoomed in, well, you know the rest.

Then I did get this one of Trae and eventhough he's not looking at the camera, he still looks like the precious little boy that he is.

Then Wesley and Dayton made it over and we began the task of taking pictures of the three of them. Anyone of you with small children know how difficult it is to get them to both look at the camera and smile at the same time. But we tried and I think we got some good shots. Here are a couple of them we wanted to share.

Then I tried really hard to get a picture of just Dayton and Trae together. This was almost next to impossible, UNTIL, Pop's jumped in there to help. This is the only shot we got of the two of them together. I think you can see how we did it.

I was proud of them and very happy with the results, as was Brandi. We had a great time doing it and I'm looking forward to another session some day soon.

  1. We tried to get a picture of our 2 together and were very unsuccessful! I think the ones you did get are precious.
