It's Been A Long Time

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted. Lots of things have happened since the last blog. We went on vacation to Berkley's wedding, got back home and my back went out, two days later I'm in the hospital having my gallbladder taken out. So needless to say, I haven't had much time to post.

Now to the important stuff. Dayton is 9 months old today. His mother and I took him to the doctor for his 9 month checkup. She said he was doing great and was a very healthly little boy. He weighed 22 lbs-10 ozs, was 29 1/2 inches tall, above average in all percentiles. Everything was going good at the doctor's office until they came in and gave him the first half of his flu shot (regular flu shot, not H1N1). Then he has to go back in 30 days to get the 2nd half. He just cried and cried and mimi wanted to cry too.

He has 2 and 2 halves teeth. By that I mean he has 2 teeth in and two more about to break the service. He just started crawling over the weekend and now he is all over the room, pulling up, exploring everything in sight. So now it is time to childproof my house. I may even have to put him in a cage from time to time.

He doesn't say mama yet, but he says dada. He LOVES music and we sing to him a lot and he sings to us (or at least that is what we call it). He loves all kinds of foods. I haven't found anything yet that he won't eat when he is at my house. Bring out the baby snacks and he really gets excited. Like I said he loves music. Here he is trying to turn on the music himself.

Brother Trae is doing good too. He gave us a little scare a couple of weeks ago with a high blood count. He had tests ran at Children's Hospital and everything is fine. He had been having pains in his leg, but seems to be doing fine now. He is getting all excited about Christmas and what Santa Claus might bring him.

For those of you who know Dayton's uncle Jay - he is still in Thailand, has been for going on 3 years. He now has a good job with an Environmental Impact Company there. Lets hope and pray it works out for him. I'm hoping he works there a while, gets some experience in that area and then comes home to apply what he has learned.

Till next time, ENJOY!!!

  1. He's such a cute little guy. And man he could probably beat up Griffin, he's just a bit bigger than him :) Have fun with the crawling and child proofing!
